About NRHS

NRHS is registered under the Kenyan Societies Act and was initiated during the landmark UNIM (Universities of Nairobi, Illinois, and Manitoba) randomized controlled trial of male circumcision for HIV prevention. Since then, NRHS has been active in reproductive health and HIV prevention research and in the implementation of HIV and STI intervention services across Kenya.

To safeguard its staff against professional risks and ensure compliance with best practice standards, NRHS seeks to engage a competent and trustworthy insurance provider to deliver comprehensive professional indemnity coverage.

Mandatory Requirements

All interested bidders must submit copies of the following:

1. Certificate of registration/incorporation
2. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
3. Current County Government Business License
4. Audited books of accounts for the last two years
5. Certificate of registration with the Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) and proof of membership
6. References from other organizations to which Professional Indemnity Cover has been provided in the last two years

Submission Guidelines

Completed tender documents should be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked with the tender number and description, and addressed to:

Documents must be hand-delivered and deposited in the tender box at the Unim Research & Training Center (within Lumumba Health Center Compound, Kisumu) by the deadline. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the NRHS boardroom in the presence of bidders or their representatives.

• Certified copies of all required supporting documents must be included.
• Information provided is legally binding and may be subject to verification.
• Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
• Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
• NRHS reserves the right to accept or reject any application, in whole or in part, and is not bound to accept the lowest bid.
• All quoted prices must include 16% VAT where applicable.
