The Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS), a national organization promoting reproductive health services in Kenya, is inviting bids for the provision of Motor Vehicle Repair Services for the period 2025–2027.

About NRHS
NRHS is registered under the Kenyan Societies Act and was initiated during the UNIM (Universities of Nairobi, Illinois, and Manitoba) randomized controlled trial of male circumcision for HIV prevention. Today, NRHS continues to lead in conducting reproductive health and HIV prevention research as well as implementing intervention services in Kenya.
To ensure smooth operations in delivering its services, NRHS seeks competent service providers to maintain and repair its vehicles with professionalism and efficiency.
Mandatory Requirements
All interested bidders must provide:
- Certificate of registration/incorporation
- Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
- Current County Government Business License
- Audited books of accounts for the last two years
- Proof of registration with the Ministry of Transport
- Valid insurance policy covering theft, damage, injury, etc. on third-party vehicles (minimum Kshs 5,000,000)
- Evidence of past performance from at least five customers within the last two years
- Proof of secure facilities with perimeter walls, security guards, CCTV, and alarm systems
Scope of Services
The successful bidder will be expected to provide:
- Routine servicing (Service A and B) including oil changes, replacement of filters, inspection of fluids, brakes, tyres, and electrical systems, and road testing of vehicles
- Minor repairs such as replacement of batteries, tyres, alternators, brake components, and other wearable parts
- Major repairs including suspension repair, alignment, brake system overhaul, hydraulics, electrical systems, accident repairs, and heavy bodywork
- Overhaul and rehabilitation of powertrain, chassis, and body systems
- On-road repair and recovery services for breakdowns and emergencies
- Final inspection and quality control before handing over serviced vehicles
The evaluation team will conduct due diligence visits to verify facilities before awarding the tender.

Submissions must be hand-delivered to the tender box at the Unim Research & Training Center (within Lumumba Health Center Compound, Kisumu) on or before the deadline. Tenders will be opened immediately after closing in the NRHS boardroom in the presence of bidders or their representatives.

- All documents must be submitted in English and signed by authorized representatives.
- Incomplete submissions or late applications will not be considered.
- All quoted prices must include applicable VAT.
- Canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.
- NRHS reserves the right to accept or reject any application in whole or in part, and is not bound to accept the lowest bid.
