1. Purpose and Scope

NRHS upholds the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
The Whistleblower Policy provides a safe and confidential way for staff, partners, contractors, and stakeholders to report any form of wrongdoing or misconduct that could harm the organization, its people, or its mission.

This policy applies to all individuals associated with NRHS and reflects our zero-tolerance approach to fraud, bribery, harassment, theft, and any unethical or illegal conduct.
Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels empowered and protected when speaking up in good faith.

2. What Is Whistle-blowing?

Whistle-blowing is the act of disclosing, in good faith, information about conduct that appears improper, illegal, or unethical.
The individual making such a disclosure — the Whistleblower — is protected under this policy from retaliation or victimization.

The policy covers, but is not limited to:

  • Fraud, embezzlement, or misuse of resources
  • Corruption, bribery, blackmail, or criminal acts
  • Harassment, discrimination, or retaliation
  • Breaches of NRHS policy, health, safety, or environmental standards
  • Concealment or failure to report known violations
  • Non-disclosure of conflicts of interest
  • Any threat to NRHS’s reputation or ethical standards

4. The Ethics Committee

NRHS has established an Ethics Committee to receive and review all whistleblowing disclosures.
The Committee is responsible for ensuring that each report is handled with fairness, confidentiality, and independence.
It is composed of:

  • The HR Manager – Chairperson
  • An appointed UNIM representative
  • An appointed Anza Mapema representative

The Committee reports directly to the NRHS Director and Board, ensuring accountability at the highest level.
