Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Kisumu, Kenya, dedicated to improving the reproductive health of women and men. Through several research projects in HIV prevention, HIV treatment, and reproductive health, NRHS is committed to advancing high-quality research and improving health outcomes.

We are seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated Quality Assurance Manager to join our research team based in Kisumu.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and coordination of quality assurance, quality control, and quality improvement activities across research studies.
  • Ensure study activities are implemented in compliance with approved protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research ethics guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, review, and support the implementation of SOPs, quality management plans, quality control tools, checklists, and other quality documents.
  • Monitor clinical quality, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate adverse event review and reporting.
  • Perform quality checks on informed consent forms, case report forms, specimen collection records, and other study documentation.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support staff performance and professional development.
  • Assist in preparing study sites for monitoring visits and external audits.
  • Collaborate with investigators, partners, and government stakeholders in implementing and developing clinical guidelines.
  • Prepare technical reports and contribute to programme planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline, Clinical Research, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Registration and a valid practising licence with the relevant professional body.
  • At least three (3) years' experience in monitoring and evaluation of public health programmes or quality assurance/quality control in public health programmes or research.
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) with a sound understanding of research ethics.
  • Experience in clinical trials, including protocol compliance, source data verification, informed consent review, and preparation for monitoring or audit visits.
