Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Kisumu, Kenya, dedicated to improving the reproductive health of women and men. Through several research projects focused on HIV prevention, HIV treatment, and reproductive health, NRHS is committed to advancing high-quality research and improving health outcomes.
We are seeking to recruit a qualified, motivated, and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our research team based in Kisumu.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense study medications and other pharmaceuticals in accordance with study protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Efficiently organize the pharmacy to facilitate easy identification of investigational products.
- Ensure effective commodities management.
- Ensure the availability and implementation of pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain full control over the delivery, stocking, and labelling of drugs and other pharmaceutical products.
- Compile regular pharmacy reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of dispensed medications and participant files.
Qualifications and Competencies
Applicants should possess:
- A Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and a valid practising licence.
- At least two (2) years' working experience with exposure to HIV prevention, care, and treatment.
- At least two (2) years' experience working in research studies.
- Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) or Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) is highly desirable.
