Join Our Team

Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Clinical Manager to join our team in Kisumu.

NRHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the reproductive health of men and women. We undertake research projects in areas including HIV prevention and treatment and reproductive health.

The Clinical Manager will provide clinical leadership and oversight, helping ensure high standards of patient care, clinical quality, research compliance and continuous quality improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise, mentor and support clinical staff performance and professional development.
  • Monitor clinical quality, patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
  • Facilitate and assist with adverse event review and reporting.
  • Collaborate with investigators, partners and government stakeholders in implementing clinical guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with research protocols, ethical standards and national screening and treatment guidelines.
  • Work with the Director and clinicians to review and revise clinical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where necessary.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality HIV and STI prevention, care and treatment services.
  • Oversee accurate clinical documentation, data management and reporting.

Qualifications and Competencies

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a health-related discipline, clinical research, public health, nursing or a related field.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Current registration and licensing by the relevant professional body.
  • At least three years' experience in monitoring and evaluation of public health programmes, quality assurance/quality control in programmes, or public health research.
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and a good understanding of research ethics.
  • Experience in clinical trials, including quality assurance, protocol compliance, source data verification, informed consent review, and preparation for monitoring or audit visits.
