Last December, our staff came together for one of the most anticipated events on our company calendar, our annual team retreat. Set in the heart of Homa Bay County, the three-day, two-night getaway offered the perfect environment to unwind, reconnect, and refocus after a busy year. The retreat brought together team members from across departments in a relaxed, outdoor setting that encouraged genuine connection and renewed energy. It provided valuable space to step away from day-to-day responsibilities and reflect on the year’s achievements, lessons, and milestones, while preparing mentally and strategically for the year ahead.Throughout the retreat, staff participated in a variety of engaging outdoor activities designed to promote teamwork, wellness, and fun. These included football, bike riding, swimming and other group challenges that sparked collaboration and healthy competition. The shared experiences strengthened bonds across teams and created lasting memories. In addition, the retreat also served an important organizational purpose. We held our annual staff meeting, where team members engaged directly with leadership, reviewed performance and progress, and discussed priorities for the coming year. These conversations created alignment, transparency, and a shared sense of direction.More than just a break from routine, the retreat was a refreshing and energizing experience. It reinforced our culture of teamwork, open engagement, and continuous improvement. It is no surprise that this annual retreat remains one of the most looked-forward-to events by staff each year.We return from each retreat more connected, more motivated, and ready to rise to the challenges and opportunities ahead.
