Nyanza Reproductive Health Society at the Heart of Kenya’s Science and Innovation Dialogue
Last week, our Executive Director had the privilege of attending a vibrant consultation meeting hosted by the State Department for Science, Research, and Innovation at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies. It was one of those moments that reminds you why organizations like NRHS exist—to turn research into real-world impact.
The gathering brought together all forty-six registered research institutions in Kenya, along with thirteen newly recognized institutions receiving their Certificates of Registration. The room buzzed with ideas, collaborations, and the shared energy of institutions committed to advancing science, technology, and innovation in Kenya.
For NRHS, this was more than a meeting—it was a space to connect with peers, share experiences, and showcase how research can improve health and lives in our communities. The Executive Director even captured a few snapshots from the session, moments that reflect not just a meeting, but a shared commitment to co-creating solutions for the challenges we face today.
Events like this underscore the importance of partnerships and dialogue in shaping policies that matter. NRHS continues to stand at the intersection of evidence, advocacy, and community impact—ensuring that scientific research is not just done, but done for the people who need it most.
Attending this consultation reaffirmed what we already know: when research institutions, government, and communities come together, innovation becomes more than an idea—it becomes a force for change.
