COMMITTED BOARD MEMBERS WANTED!

The Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) is a Kenyan public benefit organization establishedin2002andisregisteredasaSocietyundertheSocietiesAct,LawsofKenya, with its main office in Kisumu City.

Vision:Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) envisions a world where vulnerable individuals and communities are empowered to define and achieve their own needs and goals.

Mission:To improve public health through research, evidence-based programming, capacity building, education, and advocacy.

We are seeking one or more interested and competent board members who will be committed to NRHS’s vision and mission.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes, competencies and characteristics:

• Leadership and management experience
• Knowledge in public health, reproductive health and research
• Experience in resource mobilization and financial oversight
• Well-regarded in the community and able to network
• Personal integrity
• Strategic and critical thinker
• Collaborative, team player
• Women are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:

• Understand and promote the organization’s mission and vision
• Become familiar with the organization’s programs, policies, and operations
• Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings
• Review agenda and supporting documents prior to meetings
• Evaluate the overall performance of NRHS
• Oversee fiscal and legal compliance
• Contribute to regular review of policies for effective management of NRHS
• Link NRHS with potential donors and partners
• Strictly adhere to conflict-of-interest and confidentiality policies
