CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR AUDIT SERVICES
The Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS) is registered under the Kenyan Societies Act and was initiated when the UNIM (Universities of Nairobi, Illinois and Manitoba) randomized controlled trial of male circumcision for reduction of HIV incidence began. NRHS is active in conducting research in reproductive health and HIV prevention and is also active in the implementation of HIV intervention services in Kenya. NRHS has a strong track record and experience in research and in translating research into practice.
NRHS envisions a world where vulnerable individuals and communities are not only empowered to define their own needs and goals, but also have the capacity to meet those needs and achieve the goals they have set for themselves.
NRHS invites proposal from a reputable consulting firms for the provision of external audit services for the financial year 2025 from 1st of January to 31st December 2025.
The Station
The required service of external audit will be rendered at our offices in UNIM, inside Lumumba Sub County Hospital, Kisumu City.
Requirements for the External Audit Services
In order to be considered as an auditor for NRHS, the firm must fulfill the following minimum requirements: -
i. The Partner(s) of the audit firm should be practicing member(s) of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), in good standing.
ii. The firm should have a valid practicing certificate.
iii. Any possible conflict of interest should be clearly disclosed for guidance in decision-making.
iv. Must have unquestionable integrity
v. Must have knowledge in program/project audits and in particular USG USG-funded organizations as well as a thorough knowledge of global organizations’ operations
Audit methodology
The firm should state the methodology that will be applied to carry out the audit assignments
including the estimated audit completion time.
Audit Deliverables
The audit deliverable will be guided by opinion based on the audit, objective and scope of audit management representation, inherent limitations of an audit and responsibility for identifying and reporting internal control weaknesses.
Financial Proposal
The audit firm should state the charging rates proposed for these terms of reference. Note that
The award will not be determined solely on the grounds of the indicated cost.
